Update

J2SE Development Kit

An update of the J2SE Development Kit is the same as installation of a new version. The new source will be installed in the directories jdk1.5.0_XX and jre1.5.0_XX, whereby XX a special version number represent.

Furthermore the string value CurrentVersion will be set in the Registry to the new version number, so Java-Programs can find the new Runtime.

On the development computer the system variable JAVA_HOME must be set to the JDK directory. In addtion the Unlimited Policy Files must be copied to the new JRE directory.
