J2SE Development Kit

Start the J2SE-Download-Page of the current version on the Oracle Server and download the installation file on the own computer. Developers need the J2SE Development Kit (60 MB). This contains the Java-Runtime (JRE), used by programs for execution, and additional the neccessary sources for development (JDK).

Other Downloads

At the bottom of the site is the section "Other Downloads". If you want to use stronger encryption algorithm in your future programs, you must download here the "Unlimited Policy Files" separately.
