Release 2.1

New version of GlassFish has been released on 23 January 2009. Following important issue has been fixed among others:

Redeploy Bug

When redeploying a web application in the admin GUI it has been deployed to all available virtual server [2].

This bug causes big problems, because the servlet init method is executed multiple. Initialize functions and scheduler, which are planed as unique, are startet multiple parallel and induced to unwanted results.

Session ID

The new GlassFish release does not support the automatic encoding of the Session ID to the URL anymore. Read the following section for detailed information about the new changes: Session ID
